Mobile Office: Lazari Cafe in Cape Town

Lazari's in the Vredehoek neighborhood of Cape Town had me believing there would be a 1960s aproned waitress with cat-eye glasses and a bouffant taking our order. The retro vibe reaches from the Formica tables, geometric wall paper & bright colors, all the way to the glass dome-covered pies, muffins and cakes.

Not craving sweets or baked goods? There's a whole breakfast & lunch menu displayed on a floor-to-ceiling black chalkboard wall for you to peruse. Can't go wrong with the burger!

Two walls of windows make for an airy setting, seating is ample & service is friendly. Definitely a neighborhood treasure.
