Mobile Office: Cafe Hilda - Kiel, Germany
/Café Hilda provides plenty of local delights as well as practical functions for your office-of-the-day.
Thanks to it’s naval importance & near-total urban destruction during the World Wars, Kiel is a city known more for it’s sailing & waterfront than its architectural beauty.
Café Hilda however, adorns the walls of their cafe with nostalgic photographs showing Kiel in its former splendor. The images show daily life as it once was. This charming cafe seems to be a place made for locals - the wait staff is attentive & friendly (not a given in the typical cool or aloof demeanor of the Northerners), tiny wildflower bouquets thoughtfully grace each table, and patrons greet each other warmly.
