Stay Here: Boston - The Ames
/Boston might be known more for its historical and traditional hotels, but with The Ames, there’s a more modern option for your production stay. Blending old & new, the 19th century structure was Boston’s first skyscraper which has been renovated by interior designer David Rockwell. Sophisticated but not stuffy.
If you find yourself with some free time, the location is ideal - downtown, central, and in walking distance of Faneuil Hall and many other attractions. They even offer free bicycles and the gym is more than basic, in case you feel the need to break a sweat, other than out of worry or stress.
I love the lofty ceilings & big windows to allow for more daylight. As a New Yorker, it’s a treat to have so much space & sunlight - even if only for a few hours before the shoot day begins.
Production Tip - The Ames Hotel offers a very cool mobile app that allows you to order housekeeping, schedule a wake up call so you don’t miss the production van, or contact the valet to have your ride ready. The app then texts you a confirmation of your request as a confirmation. Producer-style!
